Program
The Powhatan Leadership Institute program consists of 14 sessions, a Recognition Dinner and a Transition Dinner. Most meetings will be held Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:15 P.M. at various locations throughout the county.
Class orientation is on a Saturday and will include a tour of the county. The Board of Supervisors dinner session will be on a Monday evening. There will be an all day trip to Richmond to tour the Capitol and sit in on the General Assembly.
There is a registration fee of $60. There are no additional charges for any of the activities or dinners. Lunch will be provided during the orientation session and refreshments provided at the regular evening sessions.
A maximum of 35 non-elected Powhatan County residents will be accepted to participate on a first-come basis. Participants are expected to attend as many sessions as possible. Missing more than three scheduled sessions will result in unsuccessful completion of the course. Questions?
